Day 2: The Setup and Backswing

Objectives:
• Demonstrate correct setup position.
• Execute a proper backswing.
• Understand weight transfer during backswing.
• Identify common errors in the backswing.

• Detailed setup: feet, hips, shoulders.
• The one-piece takeaway.
• Backswing mechanics: shoulder turn and arm swing.
• Wrist hinge and club position at the top.
• Weight shift and pivot.
• Common backswing faults and corrections.
• Drills for backswing improvement.
• Practical session: backswing practice.

Day 3: The Downswing and Impact

Objectives:
• Describe the sequence of the downswing.
• Execute a proper downswing with correct timing.

• Arm and club drop into the slot.

Day 4: The Follow-Through and Finish

Day 5: Short Game Fundamentals

• Pitching: longer swing, higher trajectory.

Day 6: Bunker Play and Specialty Shots

Objectives:
• Execute basic bunker shots.
• Understand how to play from different lies.
• Perform specialty shots (lob, punch).
• Adapt swing for uneven lies.

• Explosion technique: sand entry and exit.
• Playing from uphill, downhill, sidehill lies.
• Lob shot: high trajectory, soft landing.
• Punch shot: low trajectory, control.
• Adapting grip and stance for specialty shots.

• Practical session: bunker and specialty shots.

Day 7: Teaching Methodology and Communication

Day 9: Integration, Assessment, and Certification

This course is made up of exercises and case studies delivered alongside the theory — no separate practical sessions are required to complete it.

Summatives

Each delegate is assessed continuously throughout the course and a final summative test at the end.

Daily Exercises — 30%

Every training day ends with a multiple-choice exercise scored out of 100%. The scores from each daily exercise are averaged across the duration of the course to produce a Daily Average mark, which contributes 30% to the final total.

Final Test — 70%

On the last day a final summative test is written. It is a multiple-choice paper with multiple-answer questions: each question may have more than one correct option, and a single wrong selection on a question marks the entire question wrong — no partial credit. The final test is scored out of 100% and contributes 70% to the overall mark.

Certificate

Certificate of Completion

Awarded to delegates who achieve an overall mark of 50% or higher on the Final Total (Daily Average 30% + Final Test 70%).
